Today is the day where some of us are spending it with the ones we love and some of us will be spending our day curled up on the sofa with nothing but a bowl of ice cream and the notebook on the telly.
For me it is a romantic date with my one true love.... My Bed. I don't mind this way of life as it means I don't have to worry about buying anyone any gifts (not being mean, I love buying gifts for people) and I can relax and feel free!!
I was at school today, listening to people talk about being single,
lonely and depressed. One of them people was one of my best friends. I said to her; You don't need someone to be happy because in the wnd they will only bring you down. Valentines Day is just a normal day. Well that's how I see it anyway. That may be because I have never been with someone on valentines day so I don't know how it feels to have a 'valentine'.
Please please don't take that as a way of me trying to get pity from you because that is certainly not what I am trying to do. I am just trying to make a point, that it doesn't matter if you are single because there is someone out there for everyone and you just have to wait and be patient and the 'right one' will come along one day..
But for all of you loved up couples out there, I hope you have been spoilt rotten by your partner. You should feel very lucky and blessed for what you have because not everyone has a family or friend or a partner to talk to or be loved by. That is what I think about on days like today and that is the reason why it doesn't bother me that I am single because I have my family and friends to give me enough love to keep me going a lifetime (cheesy I know) but it is true, and I know I am not the only one that feels this.
Sooo, to sum today up for everyone. I would like to say HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Single or not. Go buy yourselves some chocolate and enjoy all your loved ones that are with you and think about the ones that couldn't be here to tell their loived ones how much they mean to them.
